I had a custom wig made by Angelo and it is amazing. The entire staff is top notch and a delight to work with, especially Carlos.

November 2022: I realize that it's been 10 years since I last wrote a review of Angelo David Salon. I just celebrated my 30th anniversary with the salon. The warm welcome that I receive from Carlos Perez and Angelo Pisacreta, as well as my fabulous hair stylist Cricele Romero and the wonderful assistants Angelica and Gladys make the salon like a second home to me. They have created a unique look for me and sustain it on an ongoing basis. Their customer service is personalized and tailored to each individual. I can't recommend these professionals highly enough. If you're looking for a salon that offers personal service delivered with expertise and finesse, this is your place!

*November 2016: I've been having my hair cut at Angelo David for over 20 years. Angelo Pisacreta, the owner and stylist supreme, and Carlos Perez, the manager, are both wonderful at what they do and extremely welcoming. Cricela Romero is a terrific stylist, who makes you feel as if no one else exists while she creates your best look. I highly recommend this salon for those who are looking to find a great place to hang out and leave looking all the better for the experience.

Let me not forget Angelo's Twist Curl Definer, one of the BEST products I have ever used, and everybody who has alopecia should be using it! I believe he should change the name to: Angelo's Alopecia Definer!

By far the most amazing salon in NYC! Angelo, Carlos and the entire staff are caring and professional. I started going to them 10 years ago when my daughter who has alopecia needed a wig and we wanted something quality and natural. ( she was 21). Angelo and his staff could not have been more accommodating or caring! Fast forward ( we’ve been with them since for her hair pieces) I was diagnosed with cancer and had to go thru chemo… again, the most amazing, caring and professional treatment! My 17 year old daughter suffers with Lupus and has had ongoing hairloss for 4 years. We tried so many supplements and treatments, none of which yielded adequate results. Now she is a senior and has to have her yearbook picture taken. We explored hair extension options, found Angelo David Salon through a web search, and chose to consult with them based on reviews. The whole staff is so sweet and professional! When we met Angelo we knew exactly why! He is such a down to earth, kind hearted gentlemen. He spent time with us, answered all of our questions patiently and explained the benefits of each choice. He color matched my daughter's hair and we came back for her tape in hair extension application. Lupé performed the service and was so sweet and worked so quickly. At each stage Angelo came over to make sure everything was going well and as expected. He then trimmed the extensions, making sure they blended with my daughter's hair, and then Lupé styled her hair. It may sound dramatic, but I was crying as my little girl was transformed back into the girl she was before she got sick. Now the yearbook photo that will hang on my wall forever will be a healthy looking young woman and not a traumatized girl. Since we left the salon my daughter has been smiling and saying she can't believe she once has this much hair, because it has been so long since she did. My only regret is that I didn't do this sooner. I can't recommend Angelo and his salon more. If 500 stars was an option I would choose it. ❤

I took my sister in to get a wig at Angelo David Salon because she was preparing to lose her hair from chemotherapy. Carlos and Angelo were so sensitive, caring and professional. the salon provides private rooms for consults and fittings that created a ,safe ,comfortable environment for her during an extremely difficult time. They have many wig options and the quality of their wigs was amazing. The wig genuinely looked like her own natural hair. carlos took so much time working with my sister,we never felt anything but extremely comfortable and pleased with the professionalism from my first phone contact and ,throughout our entire experience. I highly recommend this salon. I can’t say enough positive things!! Carlos also offered options for my sisters other main concern what do i do as my hair grows in? he suggested extensions that can be done as hair begins to grow in. That option made my sister feel even more at ease. Carlos was a miracle to us,as the thought of losing her hair was extremely frightening to her!! The Angelo David Salon can completely take care of this part of the battle with cancer and that is an absolutely wonderful gift!!

I first went to Angelo David Salon the week before my wedding when my long time stylist, colorist and hair extension specialist had to cancel due to a family emergency. So i was desperate and needed a cut, color and hair extensions very last minute. Having worked in beauty PR, specifically with celebrity hair stylists and top salons in NY & LA, I tend to have very high expectations and had heard his name. The team at Angelo David Salon could not have been more professional, accommodating, personable and most importantly sympathetic to my particular situation. That very day they moved schedules around to fit me in for highlights and to match my color for hair extensions. Usually you have to order the hair at least 2 weeks ahead of time but bc of my wedding less than a week away they pulled strings, moved schedules around, etc in order to get the right extensions for me the very next day! Angelo himself personally matched my color, rushed the extensions and not only oversaw all my services but cleared time in his obviously demanding schedule to cut my hair himself. The results were simply stunning… i got compliments and questions everywhere i went. I could not be more thankful for all Angelo and his team did for me… a brand new client they never met before and had no relationship with. My hair could not have been more perfect. I’m forever grateful and would highly recommend them. It was obvious in my results and talking to Angelo his knowledge, talent and expertise is on a level with the very top stylists/ salons - especially hair extensions, wigs, thinning hair, etc.
